OH, SINCE WE LAST SPOKE, something pretty scary went down over the weekend at the Munich Security Conference. The US government is now requesting data on individuals criticizing ICE online. I can hear [music] you gulp. There is so much drama at the Winter Olympics right now that curling, yes, I said curling, is somehow making global news. Logan Paul set a world record and sold a piece of cardboard for over $16 million. This happened. What the hell? And you won't believe how this Amazon van got stranded in I don't know, is it the sea? And like this one's actually pretty worry worrisome I would say because over the weekend some of the world's most powerful leaders quietly admitted something pretty concerning. The world order that's kept the peace since World War II may be breaking down. You see every year world leaders, top security experts and defense industries along with journalists, many others, they all gather in Munich to discuss the biggest security issues facing the planet today. But this year it was different. One theme that multiple world leaders kept on repeating was that the cooperative world order, the one that was established after World War II, the only world order in fact that you and I really know is apparently breaking down. Francis Mcron said that Europe must prepare for potential war because old security structures are gone. Marco Rubio called for a new century of Western civilization. The UK's Kia Starmer said that they're considering significant increases to military spending to meet the wider threat. And Germany, as we've spoken about before, they've already begun plans to build the strongest military in Europe again. So, what the hell is going on? Well, I mean, we could all kind of feel something, can't we? But one pretty grave explanation that went extremely viral on X, over 65 million views, is from Ray Dalio. He is the author of the book principles for dealing with the changing world order. And put very simply, he claims that we are entering the final stages of a cycle that is repeated throughout history before great wars. He outlines that before World War II, many similar things happening today happened then, including financial crisises that triggered internal instability. Countries turned more nationalistic and authoritarian. There were trade wars, sanctions and tariffs that escalated between nations. Military expansion followed and war eventually became unavoidable. Now, it must be noted that not everyone agrees with Dalio's historical cycle theory. But at the same time, many analysts do accept that great power tensions are clearly rising. Military spending worldwide hit yet another all-time record of 2.7 trillion in 2025. In 2023, the world saw the highest number of state-based conflicts since 1946. Germany warned for the first time since the Cold War that war is no longer unlikely. And even among allies, things are changing. I mean, Europe's relationship with the United States, for example, hasn't been this strained since almost a century. Germany's defense minister told the BBC, "We got used to the strong support from the US. We got used to our comfort zones in which we used to live. This time is definitely over. Now, the path to destruction, war, and getting shipped off to the front lines is not predetermined. Okay, I'm not going to the front lines. I've got empires to build. And even Dalio stresses that smart leadership and diplomacy can fix what's broken. But what do you guys think? Are we doomed to watch history repeat itself? Or is this just another cycle of global panic that fades away? I for one godamn hope it fades away because I am in prime military male fighting age. And no. So are you, Alex. Also, since we last spoke, if you have ever criticized ICE online, maybe this is your warning. So, according to the New York Times, the Department of Homeland Security are now sending legal requests to social media companies asking them for names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and other identifying data of individuals who have essentially chat about ICE online. Yeah. Uh and this includes Google, Reddit, Discord, Meta, so Facebook and Instagram. Uh they've all apparently received hundreds of administrative subpoenas. Now, to be fair, these companies do have the choice of whether to give this information over or not, but the four government officials that the New York Times spoke with said that Google, Meta, and Reddit have complied with some of these requests and given over these accounts information. Now, we don't know what the, you know, the government is doing with this information. Are they getting put on some watch list, something more? Are they going to friendly knock on the door? We don't know. But what we do know is that the agency's lawyers are arguing that they are seeking this information to help keep ICE agents in the field safe because it's not just about talking about ICE. It's also there's been people that are actually tracking ICE agents movement and they're posting it online and that could be dangerous. In fact, the DHS is specifically looking for details of accounts that don't have a real person's name behind them, which is most of them. Now, of course, because we still live in a democracy, uh the companies have notified the people whom the government has asked the data for, or at least some of the companies. They do only say some. And apparently, these social media companies have said that you have 10 to 14 days to fight this subpoena in court. It's also worth noting that requests for information like this from governments in the last 10 years skyrocketed with the two governments leading the amount of requests, India and the United States. But what do you guys think? Is this just a necessary safety precaution because of the tension at the minute or is this a concerning overstep by the US government? OKAY, WE [laughter] got to talk about this next story because I don't know if it's just a weird year for the Winter Olympics, but some of the controversies coming out of the competition this year, ridiculous. In Canada, I'm mostly looking at you because just listen. Things have got so intense that curling is now making global news. Never did I think I'd see the day where I'm doing a segment on curling. Now, we cannot show you footage of any of this because oh my lord, this will get copyrighted so fast. I've never seen a an organization so strict on this is like Kim Jong-un levels of strictness but for copyright. Like you even played two seconds of the Olympics clips gone. Damn it. So Alex, be creative with what you do. Just screenshots will be fine. Actually, that's okay. Basically, what happened? It was Canada versus Sweden and a Swedish player, Can you call them a player if they're I don't I don't know. A Swedish team member accused the Canadian guy of double touching it, cheating. So yeah, you you got to release the stone and then on the video it goes like this and then he touches it with his finger to kind of give it a little extra push. Don't really know what's going on, but apparently that's illegal. Next thing you know, huge arguments and fbombs explode. Not what you would expect from the peaceful sport of curling. Bro from Canada, Mark Kennedy. He responds to this Swedish guy by saying, "I haven't done it once, and you can >> corn casserole >> off [laughter] crazy." In fact, it's got so bad that World Curling, who runs the sport, had to issue Mark Kennedy with an appropriate behavior warning. But Kennedy, he's not backing down. He said after the game, he still accuses us of cheating. And I didn't like it. So, I told him where to stick it. But the thing is, the Swedish guy was like, "I'll show you the video after the game. Like, you'll see that you cheated." And guess what? Now the whole world has seen the video. And he really I mean, look, I don't know how he's so defensive. Never in my two days of being a fanatic curling fan have I seen such bad sportsmanship. Am I right, Alex? God. Now, this has become a giant meme online. the the the finger of of I don't know, man. Alex, just show them the memes. Just show them the memes. God, how is this such a big deal? Well, it probably is because you also found out that the Canadian women's team uh were accused of doing the exact same thing against their match in of Switzerland. What is up with Canadians? And that's not even it because Tom Wilson, an ice hockey player from Canada, he decided to fight a French hockey player despite there being a long-standing tradition that you don't fight at the Olympics. Yeah, you fight in the league, but you don't fight people at the Olympics, but he did it anyway. Canada, I don't know what has got into you. This this is very uncanadian. But the Olympics drama doesn't just stop with curling in Canada. There's huge allegations of a French judge rigging this skating score so that a French player would win. Obviously, there was the whole penis gate injection. [laughter] This, okay, it's not the penis gate. All right, it's not that severe, but we spoke about it a couple of weeks ago with the injections of hyaluronic acid into the penis to get the bigger crotch suit. Yeah, we've also got the guy announcing to the world that he cheated on his girlfriend in hopes to get her back, which completely backfired. And oh, and also we've got 10,000 condoms that they were given out to the athletes gone in how many days? 3 days. 10,000 in 3 days. What is going on? Apparently, some of the athletes weren't very happy because they already ran out of all of the cond. [laughter] one anonymously, fair enough, uh spoke to Italian media saying they promised us that more will arrive, but who knows when. Bro is angry. He's he's eager, raring to go. And if you actually do the math, there's 2,900 athletes in the Olympic village and 10,000 that makes it about three per person. So yeah, I guess that does also make it one per day. Olympics has always had a problem with this, but it might even be a problem. freespirited individuals. Moving on. Also, over the weekend, Logan Paul has set a new world record, and it's a pretty insane one. He has sold a Pokemon card for $16.5 million. That's incredible. And remember, this is a piece of cardboard made up of the same stuff as like whatever this is. Damn it. Now, for those who don't know much about Pokemon, me too. Um, [laughter] it seems ridiculous, right? But the more I looked into it, the more I realized this is a serious investment from Logan Paul, just like buying a house or stocks. Because a couple of years ago when he bought it, he said that Pokemon has outperformed almost every other asset class in the last decade. So, he decided to spend a record-breaking $5.3 million in 2023 on the world's only grade 10 Pikachu illustrator. Now, these cards were issued as part of a contest in 1998, and there only about 40 that are known to exist. His is the only grade 10, which means it's almost in perfect condition. Obviously, he then increased the value over the years by putting in a diamond chain, walking out to the WWE Wrestlemania, and then over the weekend, he decided to put it up for auction to see how much it would sell for. And it was bought by a guy named AJ uh Sakamucci for over $16 million. AJ Scaramucci, my bad. Now AJ, whose father is a financier uh and a former White House communications director, uh he is apparently buying this card as a first purchase of a planetary treasure hunt. Is that a job? Is I I I guess he said that he wants to buy a T-Rex fossil and find the Covenant of the Ark as well. This is not a job. God damn it. But probably that card will go up in value from 16 million and he'll make millions more along with other things. [laughter] But that also does mean that Logan Paul, who I guess everyone roasted at the time, which are probably people are going to roast AJ as well. Why would you spend that much on a Pokemon card? Well, he has made a profit of $1.2 million in just 3 years. That is before taxes. But you're not making that in the freaking index fund, are you? But then again, just to make you guys feel better, not every investment that he makes is surefire instant gold because this post says Logan Paul purchased this NFT for $635,000 in 2021. So near the coastal city of Southoun, England, a driver was given a package to deliver to a place called the Thelnness Island. Foulness Island is a horrific name. Where do you live? And the GPS told him to go down this tiny little path into what's clearly in front of you, something that's not drivable. And he got stuck out there. And he had to abandon the vehicle. There was even a giant freaking tractor that had to come through and lift up the van and drive. [laughter] What? Apparently, this road is pretty infamous. It's known as the broomway and apparently it is known as the most perilous byway in the entire country where over a 100 people have died before. How? This is before GPS. So, I don't know if you're just trusting your instincts or or what are those things that they used to use back in the day? a compass if you just trust in the [laughter] Oh, Alex is gonna make fun of me for that one. And basically, when the tide rises, the path disappears and it becomes impossible to travel through. Well, clearly it's not possible to travel through anyway, whether the tide is up or down. Now, thankfully, everyone is safe in this situation. But it really begs the question, why did bro trust the GPS more than his own two eyes? We need to get this guy on for an interview RIGHT NOW. MOVING ON. ALSO, this is probably the coolest video that I have seen all week. This is a guy getting catapulted off the back of a truck driving 80 m an hour completely unharmed. And wow. So, a group of YouTubers called DD Squad uh decided to perform a pretty wild physics experiment. while driving a truck at 80 km an hour, 50 mph for the Americans. Um, they catapulted this guy in the opposite direction at the exact same speed. They said in the video, if two motion vectors of equal value work in opposite directions, they will cancel each other out. And as you can see by this example, yes, good science. But yeah, I just had to make sure that you guys saw that because very cool. Shout out DD Squad. put me in a catapult next. Moving on. Also, very interesting story that I read. Um, sex workers in America are about to or at least attempting to form the country's first ever union for sex workers. It potentially is the world's first, but I can safely say America's first. And yes, in the comments, feel free to put on we've got a prostitution union before GTA 6. Now, in case you're wondering how is this even possible because probably wherever you live, it's completely illegal. Well, in Nevada, where which is actually the only US state where uh this industry is legal, it's actually only legal in certain rural areas of Nevada. But according to one of the workers, they said that we want the same thing that any other worker wants. We want a safe and respectful workplace, please. And she goes by the name Jupiter Jetson. Now, she is just one of the many workers at this location. in fact 74. It's quite a big big location. And they have actually submitted a petition to unionize with the National Labor Relations Board under the name United Brothel Workers. And apparently what is encouraged them to form this union is they say that a lot of these workers are having to sign a new contract by given to them by their employer which would force them into having their likenesses stolen from them and used for other commercial activities. And as you know without union alone you are weak together you are strong. What reference is that movie from? When speaking about this contract that was given to all of these uh sex workers. Jupiter told the Associated Press, "This is how you end up the face of a Japanese lubricant company without ever signing any documents. This is how you end up finding yourself on a website offering AI companionship without ever seeing a penny." They also said they are fighting for more security and provisions from their employer like health insurance. And you know, if you think about it, it's pretty crazy because it's often described as the oldest profession in the world. And then for a quick and final bizarre update for the day, remember the Australian guy that we spoke about that was raising money to fly to America and move into Billy Isish's house because she said no one is illegal on stolen land. Well, he found out that that's not exactly true cuz he posted an update over the weekend in custody at the US border. Bro actually followed through. I I was trying to explain the whole time it was a joke. I never meant to actually try to go to her house. I was illegal on stolen land, unfortunately. He said, "Billy is got me deported from the US. I spent 30 hours in the custody of LAX trying to explain to the agents that my posts about moving into our mansion on stolen land were just a joke." He said her lawyers seemed to have actually compiled a dossier on him because the agents were asking him about his entire history as an activist opposed to the Chinese government. And apparently they were asking him to detail my entire history as an activist against the Chinese Communist Party. They wanted me to confirm that I had never plotted to bo blow up Chinese facility. They literally were asking me if I had plotted to assassinate Chinese officials and I was like completely shocked. I literally had no idea what they were talking about. Where did China come into all of this? He said, "I suffered for my art as an online poster. I was victimized and martyed by Billy." [laughter] This is getting ridiculous, man. He better be ready to be on some intense watch list that is going to cook him on traveling for many, many years in the future. Honestly, we don't know if Billy's lawyers actually got involved or not, whether he's just posting yet again. But he did post pictures from the US border. So, unless that's AI.
