- On Saturday, the UK saw one of its largest protests in modern history, dubbed the Unite the Kingdom Protest or Free Speech Rally.
- Organized by Tommy Robinson, the rally drew an estimated 150,000 attendees (per police), though organizers claim millions—a discrepancy common in large gatherings.
- The protest featured tributes to Charlie Kirk, who was killed three days prior, with chants for free speech, opposition to illegal immigration, and defense of traditional British culture and Christianity.
- A counterprotest of around 5,000 people was held by "Stand Up to Racism," highlighting the polarized nature of the event.
2. Elon Musk’s Controversial Involvement
- Elon Musk joined the protest via video, calling for the dissolution of the UK government and warning:
"Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die."
- This rhetoric has drawn widespread backlash, especially given Musk’s global influence and history of using inflammatory language.
- Critics argue this mirrors the rhetoric that has been linked to assassination attempts on conservative figures.
- Musk has previously criticized liberal media for promoting "violent" language, yet he now exemplifies that very behavior in a foreign political context.
3. Violence and Police Injuries
- The protest exceeded space limits, leading to clashes.
- 26 police officers were injured by punches, kicks, and thrown projectiles.
- At least 25 protesters were arrested.
- The incident revealed a complex reality: while some attendees were racist or extremist, others were families, pensioners, and ordinary citizens concerned about being ignored.
- Media coverage has been black-and-white, oversimplifying the event and failing to capture the nuanced public sentiment.
4. JD Vance to Host Charlie Kirk’s YouTube Show from the White House
- Former U.S. Vice President JD Vance will host Charlie Kirk’s YouTube show from the White House.
- The move is seen as both a personal tribute to Kirk and a strategic effort to unify conservative voices.
- Vance’s platform gives the show massive visibility, potentially amplifying conservative messaging.
- This marks a rare moment of high-level political endorsement of a YouTube channel.
5. Tyler Robinson (Suspect in Charlie Kirk Assassination) Stops Cooperating
- Utah Governor reveals that suspect Tyler Robinson is no longer cooperating with authorities.
- Initially, Tyler reportedly confessed to the shooting to his father, but now he has denied involvement and is not cooperating.
- A New York Times report claims Tyler made jokes on Discord about being the "doppelgänger" of the shooter—though the governor states the conversations were jokes, and Tyler did not believe he was the actual gunman.
- For the death penalty, authorities need concrete evidence—no confession or solid proof yet.
- A formal charge is expected tomorrow (Tuesday); details will be confirmed then.
6. TikTok Deal Between U.S. and China – A Major Breakthrough
- After days of tension, a deal has been reached between the U.S. and China on TikTok.
- Donald Trump announced the deal in a post, stating that a trade agreement was reached and that he will speak to Chinese President Xi on Friday.
- U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant confirmed a framework agreement has been reached.
- The U.S. buyer is expected to be a group led by Larry Ellison (co-founder of Oracle), now briefly the world’s richest person.
- Key questions remain:
- Will TikTok be the same app?
- Will the algorithm change?
- Will it be a separate app?
- The deal is seen as a major win for TikTok, ending fears of a ban and ensuring the app’s survival in the U.S.
7. Owen Cooper Wins Youngest Emmy Winner Ever
- At age 15, Owen Cooper won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture at the Emmys.

Oh, new week, new news. Over the weekend, the UK witnessed one of the largest protests of its kind in modern-day history. Charlie Kirk's YouTube channel has a new host, and he's a vice president. After what feels like years, today, the US and China have finally agreed on a deal for Tik Tok. A suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination is apparently no longer cooperating with authorities and a Nigerian chef is attempting to make history by making the largest ever pot of jolaf rice. All of that and so much more. My garage is leaking. So subscribe and like to make me feel better. So let's stop the yapping and let's get power rocking. Woo. Okay, we got to start today with this one because it is massive. On Saturday, the UK witnessed one of the largest protests of its kind in modernday history. And that is no exaggeration. It had Charlie Kirk tributes, Elon Musk counterprotest, wooden crosses, peace, violence, and a whole lot of British flags. Now, it was called the Unite the Kingdom Protest or Free Speech Rally. And it was largely organized by a man named Tommy Robinson. Now, police data say that up to 150,000 people turned out, while organizers claim a very different number. They say millions. And it's important to know that police tend to underestimate in these circumstances and organizers tend to overestimate. So, unless you're going to look at that aerial view and count one by one, we're not really going to know. But regardless of the exact number, point is it was big. In fact, many reports say that it was one of the largest nationalist rallies in recent memory, perhaps ever. And of course, with someone like that, it doesn't come without opposition. In fact, around 5,000 people joined a nearby counterprotest organized by Standup to Racism. The Unite the Kingdom rally had chants for Charlie Kirk, who had just been killed 3 days prior. Many held signs and flags protesting illegal immigration, free speech, and the decline of traditional British culture and Christianity. And while Tommy Robinson, who has criminal convictions himself, repeatedly urged on social media prior to this protest that it needs to remain peaceful and that it needs to be a family day out, it did not necessarily end that way. For example, Elon Musk, who joined by video, called for the British government to be dissolved and then warned the thousands listening that violence is coming for them and they need to fight or die. >> Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die. >> Now, on the Elon Musk point, before we go any further, there's already a lot of backlash with him getting involved in foreign country's politics. Not only because it's very hard to grasp the nuance of another country's political situation, but also because of the sheer weight of his influence. He is the richest man in the world. He owns his own social media platform. In fact, he is the most followed on that platform. We've seen what he did in the 2024 election for America. And that means what he says carries weight. And so telling people in a foreign country that violence is coming for them and that they need to fight or die is exactly the rhetoric that he's been criticizing the liberal media for for years. Elon Musk and many other Republicans have argued that this kind of language is what fuels the assassination attempts and assassinations of these conservative figures that we've seen in recent years. He said things like they shouldn't use this kind of charged language where it's like it's almost violent. They need to fight and they need to take to the streets. They need to do all of this or else. Yet on Saturday, he did the exact same thing. Now, unfortunately in this protest, physical violence also broke out because according to police, the protest had actually exceeded the estimates of organizers, which meant that there wasn't enough space for all of them in Whiteall and Parliament Square. And so, when certain parts of this really large crowd ignore directions and tried to get into secured areas, 26 police officers were injured with punches, kicks, and projectiles being thrown. At least 25 of these protesters were arrested. But here's the problem. Over the last couple of days since this protest, the coverage of it has been very black and white. They were telling us that this was either a sea of hatefilled racists or it was simply an army of heroes standing up for the country. And both are true and false because the reality is so much messier. There were people there that absolutely fit the worst labels. I've seen the videos. There's no denying it. But also in attendance were families, pensioners, church groups, and ordinary people who simply feel like their voices are being ignored. And labeling hundreds of thousands of people one thing doesn't explain why so many people turned up. It just makes it easier to either dismiss them or join them, only contributing to the increasing division. And listen, agree with these protests or disagree with them. There is no denying that this many people taking to the streets is telling us something about where the UK is right now. And simply ignoring that or oversimplifying it might just be the most dangerous part of all. But of course, as always, I'd love to hear what you guys think about this situation. Make sure you put it in the comments. But moving on, also over the weekend, we heard something pretty strange. JD Vance announced that he will be hosting the Charlie Kirk show. And not just that, but he will be hosting it from the freaking White House. Now, if you actually think about it, that's pretty insane. A vice president of the United States being a host for a YouTube channel is something I never thought I would hear. Now, I didn't actually know much about this beforehand, but apparently they have been good friends for several years. And you know, the decision to become the host for his show. I guess there's partly this side where it is purely a tribute for a good friend. But also, I think there's this side to it where JD Vance knows that this is a huge opportunity for the right to come together and show unity and support because let's be honest, he could say whatever he's going to say on Charlie Kirk show on his own, but doing it on the channel where millions of his fans already subscribing, that's going to hit different. Now, I don't know what he's going to say yet, but it's going to be a very interesting watch. We are literally seeing history being made like every single week right now. It is wild. Moving on. Now, speaking about the whole Charlie Kirk situation, the Utah governor has just come out with a bombshell twist and he said that the suspect, Tyler Robinson, is no longer cooperating. Pretty big changes in what we thought we knew about this situation. Now, obviously, as you probably know by now, Tyler was only caught because his father got convinced him to hand himself in. But over the weekend, it looks like something may have changed because now the governor is saying that he is quote not cooperating with authorities and he has not confessed to carrying out the shooting. Now, that is different from what we initially heard. We heard that he confessed to it or at least to his father. Now, the Utah governor was also asked about a New York Times report that came out over the weekend which alleged that Tyler had been communicating with others on Discord after the shooting and that apparently he had made jokes about being the gunman, saying that he was the killer's doppelganger. Now, the governor's response to this was, quote, "All we can confirm is that those conversations were definitely happening and that they did not believe that it was actually him. He was all joking until he, you know, until he admitted that it was actually him." Now, here's the thing. For the death penalty, which they are pursuing, they're going to need to have some really solid evidence against him. And only once he is formally charged, which is tomorrow on Tuesday, will we actually know what evidence they have. So, without the he said, she said, we'll confirm this on Wednesday and I'll see you then. Moving on. Oh, and also breaking news for our next story right as we were editing this freaking video. Tik Tok may have been finally saved once and for all. Gosh, I'm so done. This better be final. And the craziest part to this is that only a few hours earlier, I was in here venting and I was so angry. Only Alex knows how angry I was because the original story was the complete opposite. It was very negative because yesterday when Trump was asked about the deadline for Tik Tok, which was happening this week yet again, he was asked, "Was it going to be sold? Is he going to extend the ban?" And he said, quote, "We may let it die or we may not. I don't know. It depends. Up to China." Bro, never have I ever been so angry hearing the words, "We may let it die." Just like that. But luckily, you guys don't have to see that side of me because today we have a very actually actually I would say probably the most positive news shut up on the Tik Tok ban we've had ever. Donald Trump posted the big trade meeting in Europe between the United States of America and China has gone all caps very well. And then he said a deal was also reached on a certain we know that's Tik Tok company that young people in our country very much wanted to say they will be very happy person and will be speaking to President Xi on Friday. The relationship remains a very strong one. President DGT and then on top of that because and we all know Trump can 180. It isn't just him. The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant said that a framework agreement has been reached and Trump will speak to GI this Friday to finalize the deal. Now, we don't know who the US buyer will be yet, although it is expected to be a group of buyers led by Larry Ellison, the co-founder of Oracle, who actually just last week became briefly the world's richest man. But the biggest question that we need to be asking now is what version of Tik Tok will we get? Will it be the same one? Will it be a different one? Will it be an entirely different algorithm? Who will own it? Will it be an entirely separate app like we heard a couple of months ago? All will be revealed soon, my son. But the main headline is sleep peacefully tonight because it doesn't look like Tik Tok is going away anytime soon. Woo! Moving on. Also, last night on Sunday, we witnessed history at the Emmys. I'm telling you, we're witnessing history every freaking week. And usually I don't speak about award shows like this cuz I low-key kind of hate them. And the reason why save it for another video, but this one is pretty awesome because Owen Cooper won outstanding support actor in a limited series or technical technical terms basically for adolescence. And he did so at the age of 15 which makes him the youngest male Emmy wmer winner ever. Emmy Whmer Emmy W Emmy winner ever. [ __ ] >> corn casserole. >> And if that wasn't impressive enough, a reminder that this was actually his onscreen debut, his first acting role ever. And low key, I liked his acceptance speech. Usually it's it's yap. Let's be honest. Usually it's yap. But Alex, play them the best line because inspiring. >> Standing up here is just wow. It's just so surreal. Um I think tonight proves that if you if you listen and you focus and you step out your comfort zone, you can achieve you can achieve anything in life. I was I was nothing about 3 years ago. I'm I'm here now. So I think if you listen and you focus and you just step out your comfort zone a little bit, who cares if you get embarrassed, you know, anything can be impossible. But thank you, Alex. You've inspired the youth with that selection. You may now go to heaven. Moving on. And then because it has been such a freaking heavy toxic week of news, it feels like it feels like the world is cooked, right? But let me remind you, it is not. With a segment of I feel like this is important of [Music] Now, I'm not going to lie. Um, I did want to get something a little bit different. It was supposed to be a gong. Um, and then I thought, "Oh, this could be good with a bit of wood." But, so the the editing Alex is going to have to carry this. But this is the segment of instead of rapid fire news, news to calm your nerves. All right. News to calm your nerves. And as this segment starts, guys, join me in a deep breath. In and out. Shut up. Let's continue. And our first story of news to calm your nerves. We've got the a championship sport of tram. This sounds silly, but it's it's tram championships. Tram driver world championships. And in fact, it's the first ever of this. Now, Alex personally, he will be very familiar with trams because he doesn't drive. And that's not something that I don't know if the world knows or not. I'm sorry, Alex. You You always get screwed in this. Uh if the world doesn't need to know that, Alex, you have the power to cut that out. But just know if I don't see that then I will also know that you're you can't take the heat in the thunderdome. Now in Tram Driver Championships, 25 teams from across the world competed and it really consisted of eight different challenges using the trams such as bowling and curling. Come on, can you not feel your nerves being calmed right now with this? It also had tests like braking, accelerating smoothly, or precision reversing. Yeah, can feel the nerves flowing out my toes. For example, in the bowling test, they basically had to hit this big red ball into some pins and uh you know, just using the momentum only momentum of the tram for curling. had to push this bicycle trolley so that it would stop at a specific point and it actually attracted attention of thousands of people uh coming to watch it and millions online. Now, in first place, it was Austria at home, not a shock because they're using their own trams. Second place was awarded to Poland. Third, this is such a like East European the Americans watching and thinking, "What the hell? I don't even know if America has tra necessarily. But anyway, Norway took third and Croatia finished last. Ah, stressless floating on. And speaking of world firsts, this chef from Nigeria, Hildabachi, is attempting to make the world's largest pot of junof rice. And let me tell you, if anyone's going to do it, it could be her because this is not her first rodeo. In 2023, she broke the world record for the longest cooking marathon ever. She cooked nonstop for 93 hours and 11 minutes. Holy crap. But when it came to the jolaf rice and she made these huge pots and when she went to weigh it, something unbelievable happened. Now, she used for this pot an unbelievable 4,000 kg of rice, which for example is the weight of a medium-siz elephant, or if you're not familiar with elephant weights, then um two cars roughly. She used 500 cartons of tomato paste, 600 kg of onions, and 168 kg of goat meat. How many goats went into this pot is what I she's feeling feeding the whole damn Nigeria. Surprisingly though, all of that only took her 9 hours to cook. That's like Alex bacon on a good day. But when she went to go and weigh this monster dish, while this crane was lifting it up, the custommade pot broke. And in the end, they could not take the official weight. Imagine doing all of that and how expensive all those ingredients would be and you can't even weigh it. That sucks. However, not all hope is lost. The majority of hope is lost. Yes, I will agree. But not all of it because a member of Hilda's team told the BBC that they were collecting evidence from different camera angles to show the Guinness World Record. And so maybe it can still be officially recognized. And in case you're wondering what the hell happened to all of this food, just like in the cooking marathon, it was distributed in containers and given it to the crowds watching. Hilda, massive W for you. Floating on. Oh, and talking about, you know, us all needing a bit of a stress relief. It looks like your doctor may need one too from time to time. But in doing so, the UK may have just won the award for the worst doctor ever. That's because this week we heard that a 44year-old anithnotist an anith >> corn casserole >> anithnotist an anith anith however you say it in Manchester was caught leaving a patient in the middle of an operation to go have s e e you know what with a nurse in another room. What the flip? Bro said he needed a comfort break. I'm not even kidding. That is his exact words which he used when he was asking the other nurse to moni monitor the patient while he was gone. What the hell? And this wasn't like just some tiny little procedure like cutting toenails. It this was a full-on gallbladder removal, which is pretty serious operation. The guy had to be put to sleep for it. And as this doctor and another nurse was having their comfort break uh in another nearby operating theater, gez. So they didn't it was a regular room, yet another nurse happened to walk in on them and caught them in a quote compromising position. The doctor then returned to the operating room about 8 minutes later to complete the surgery and thankfully the patient went unharmed. Just imagine how awkward that room would have been. Oh, and to make the situation even worse, the doctor was a married man because of because of course. Now, he claimed that personal trauma, including the premature death of his daughter and troubles with his wife, were contributing factors to this. Now, he has since returned to his home country of Pakistan, but he wants to return back to the UK again, saying that this was just a one-time lapse in judgment and that it will not happen again. So, the question is, should Dr. comfort break be allowed to get his old job back or not? Let me know what your thoughts are in the comments. But I think that is a wrap. I hope you guys are feeling very destressed after the little fun segments at the end. I also hope you guys had a fantastic weekend. We said that we would not do news on Saturday, so I hope you stuck to that. But of course, I will see you again on Wednesday. Love you. Bye. [Music] Sorry, Alex. Everywhere else is too dark apart from outside. So, news to calm your nerves. Let's get these [Music] news to calm your nerves. [Music]
