that they lose their brand deals their sponsorships and ultimately their money and why do people want celebrities and the Rich and Famous to lose all of their money well here's how the Tik Tok blockout Trend started and more interestingly why this is Haley Bailey she's a model A cont Creator and she doesn't know it yet but she's about to trigger a massive digital Revolution against the Rich and Famous and herself all because of this video let them eat cake but to understand why what she did here caused so much outrage we have to go back to the 1800s I'm not kidding you the queen of France in 1774 has somehow affected a Tik Tok Trend in 2024 Bri an tette remember that name because she was actually the last queen of France before the French Revolution because at a time where the country was in extreme debt and they were living in poverty and starving she was seen living a lavish lifestyle and spending huge amounts of money on unnecessary things I think you can see where this is going for example she was known for her extreme looks and love for fashion her annual clothing budget alone was equivalent to today's $3.6 million that's spending 300K a month but ironically the thing that she was actually most remembered for was when when she was told that the public were starving and they didn't have enough bread to eat to which she replied let them eat cake and I say it's ironic because it's believed that she never actually even said that and it's still the thing attributed to her most commonly but regardless The public's anger led to a revolution and ultimately her execution so heading back to 2024 when Haley Bailey dresses up as Marie Antoinette and used a trending sound in a video saying let them eat cake while outside the Met Gala were just a ticket for this event C more than $75,000 you can understand why people were pissed and she quickly became the modern Marie Antoinette and triggered another Revolution this time it was just a Tik Tok Trend but still a revolution now I should note that she has since apologized and said that she didn't know any of the implications of this quote before she made it on the sound but I guess people didn't really care some of the top comments on our video were saying we're giving you the Marie an tnet experience and while all the anger started on just her video it quickly grew to all of the celebrities of the Met Gala and Way Beyond The Hunger Game societal disparity quickly became the movement theme with hundreds of people commenting watching from District 12 creators started making videos showing their own daily celebrity block lists and the people who join the trend say that the movement ethos is simple just like how the French people's taxes were funding Marie Antoinette's lavish lifestyle while they starved today the Public's attention is often what funds these celebrities Lifestyles and so if they're using all of this money that they've got from the people's attention on massive unnecessary displays of wealth or while people around the world struggle and starve that attention and therefore money will be removed and then what made things worse for these celebrities and really what added fuel to this trend Mass blocking of celebrities who haven't spoken about what's happening in Gaza right now also began you see the meala happened at the same time where people were having to flee Rafa in southern Gaza because their homes were being bombed and the contrast between these two experiences happening at the same time is undeniable now it's been over a week since this trend kicked off so how effective has it been well it's hard to say for certain because you can't actually see the amount of people that have blocked a certain account but Haley Bailey did drop from 10 million to 9.9 million followers and a few other big celebrities had a small drop but by all accounts certainly not enough to lose sponsorships brand deals and ultimately money the problem this trend is running into is that a lot of these people blocking these celebrities probably aren't following them in the first place and even if you go to Haley Bailey's new videos they're full of positive comments from her
