Oh ho ho. Since we last spoke, we got Stranger Things skies in the UK. Iran shutting down the internet. Over 90 million people nationwide. Rampaging German sheep. The FBI blocking state officials [music] from the investigation into the ICE agent shooting and one pre-approved petition that I believe I'm going to very much regret giving Alex. All of that and so much more. We're not stopping the yapping and [music] getting cracking cuz I've got something else I need to say. And we have hit one million citizens of the empire. Oh. Oh god. That was more painful than I thought. This day we have waited for so long guys. You have no idea. I just needed to say that. Look to this to this little bastard. 100k attitude adjustment. Not in this studio. We are 1 milly dilly. And all of you that subscribed before 1 millie, you are part of the pre- dilly millilly club. Alex, yes, I said. Alex, give him the badge because I want to do two things to celebrate. Number one, everyone, I am rehiring Alex. Bring him back in, my boys. Alex, a look, Shawn Holmes, I'm sorry. You You are fantastic. Your name was a little bit close to Shan Combmes, so we had to get rid of you. And Alex is back. Now, here's the problem. Alex is a little bit angry for being fired on Christmas Day. I get it. It was for the greater good, but I get it. So, in the negotiations to bring him back, we agreed on one pre-approved petition. The gold only given out the empire once a millennia, and Alex has got one pre-approved petition that will have to be followed by the Supreme Leader. So, I'm not exactly sure what it is just yet. You guys will know before me. Alex, what is it? Hello everyone. What could I do with a golden petition? Well, if you remember, Dylan was pretty adamant to have my beard shaved in the last petitions. And taking a man's beard is just as bad as taking a man's job. So, I think it would be only fair for Dylan to shave his head. So, not only do I want it shaved, I wanted gold. I wanted golden gold like my pre-approved [music] petition. Maddie, BLEACH HIS HAIR. I GUESS I'LL FIND OUT once I [laughter] once I wrap the news. Uh, but whatever this might be, we will do that thing at the end of the video. So, look forward to that. Secondly, as I have said many, many moons ago, once we reach 1 million, I promise you guys we will go and see Alex in person for the first time ever. [music] And that is still on the cards. I want to know from you guys, petitions in the comments. Do you want to see just like a chill Alex day in the life? How the man with the great beard works? Or do you want something a little crazier? I go to Canada, but we also rent flamethrowers and fireworks. Let me know. But I just want to say one more time, thank you all so [music] much. Every single citizen of the News Daddy Empire, you don't know how long we've been working to get here. [music] This is a big big moment for the channel and we're going to make lots of content seeing Alex in the future. So for the first time [music] as a million citizen empire let's stop the captain and let's go again. [music] Okay, let's kick today off with a bit of local news. We don't do that very often. But today, the UK is being hit by what's being described as the worst snowstorm of the decade. And that actually comes with a rare red danger to life. Wind warning. Say that 10 times. Thousands have lost power. Schools have been closed. There's been major travel disruption. But nowhere has experienced something quite like Birmingham. Yes. What you are seeing are videos from Birmingham this morning showing that the skies were lit up across the city pink. Yeah. In fact, some people started calling it the UK's very own Stranger Things skies. And boy, what a contrast this is for Birmingham because in one week they went viral for their streets being ridiculously dirty because their bin strikes have now been going on for over a year. And then in the same week, they go in the complete opposite direction. And they're looking like the freaking North Pole. Like, have you seen anything this beautiful before? So, well done, Birmingham. You win the most beautiful and ugly city this week. [laughter] And you're probably wondering what the hell's going on then. Well, turns out it's not some crazy weather phenomenon. Uh, it's actually just a local football stadium using pink LED lights, which help the grass grow and recover quicker. because of all of the snow in the sky and the floor, it just kind of reflected like crazy, turning uh the city pink for the night. Pretty damn cool. Anyway, from the local news, we shall move on to a much more serious topic because we genuinely have to ask the question at this point, will protesters actually overthrow the Iranian government? Because hypothetically, if they did, the entire Middle East situation changes drastically. And before we can answer that question, just look at what's happening right now. Uh last night there was whole new levels of crowds taking to the streets. They set fire to government buildings. The flag of the Islamic Republic was torn down. Statues were toppled. Some women are starting to post pictures of them. And remember this is pretty like severe in Iran to do this of themselves setting fire of pictures of Iran's Supreme Leader with a cigarette. And the protests have now spread to more than 100 cities and towns across all 31 of Iran's provinces. And that is according to numerous human rights groups. And right before all of this started happening, there was actually and there still currently is, as of reporting, a nationwide internet blackout. And also, there are many reports of international telephone calls being blocked as well. So yeah, things are getting pretty serious now. The government hasn't commented directly and taken responsibility for cutting internet access, but they've done it before in previous protests. And also, cutting the internet is a tactic that other countries have used to try and quell the protests. and stop the circulation of information that is causing the anger. As of the 9th of January, Norway based monitor, Iran Human Rights, they say that at least 45 protesters, including eight children, have been killed by security forces so far. But here's the thing. While these protests do seem majorly significant, and the thoughts of maybe a revolution is on the mind, the reality is Iran has had bigger protests than these. Take for example in 2022, but eventually they died down. there was no revolution and Iran's government and regime stayed in place. However, on the flip side, 2022 was a very different world to 2026, mainly because Trump is in office. And not only that, but today there is an increased amount of outside powers that want to see today's Iranian regime fall and be replaced with a regime that is more friendly to the United States, to Israel, etc. I mean, there is even one lined up right now, ready to take over if the opportunity presents itself. And it's not just outside powers. That's not to discount the millions of Iranians who want the same outcome for obviously different reasons. Outside powers wanting regime change, some people inside wanting regime change. Where does that sound familiar? Venezuela. And look what happened there. Now, the Trump administration seems to believe that Iran will fall by itself without any intervention. But who knows how much influence there is going on behind the scenes. So right now I think it's just a bit too early to say whether there's going to be a revolution, whether it's going to be a regime change, but the significance if that was to happen would be something that I don't think we've seen in our lifetimes. So as always, I'll keep you guys updated, but for now, moving on. Okay, moving on to a quick update of another very consequential situation. The ICE agent who fatally shot the 37year-old mother. A lot has happened since we last covered this. Well, of course, as you guys know, the details of her death are being heavily contested right now and are causing major protests in Minnesota, but now Minnesota officials are saying that the FBI is blocking their access to the investigation. Minnesota's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said that the FBI initially agreed to a joint investigation with the state, but apparently they have now reversed course and they have denied the state access to materials and evidence. And why that has caused such a stir is because the federal and the state officials have both made it very clear they have differing opinions on why this woman was killed. Federal authorities have made it clear they believe it is self-defense and state authorities seem to indicate that they believe it is murder. So only allowing the FBI to carry out the investigation which is at the federal level. Well, it's got many people including Tim Waltz worrying if the federal government is able to carry out an unbiased investigation. And it's not even over at that point because to make the matter even more tense, two more people the following day were shot by a federal agent in Portland. And now that city's mayor as well as Minnesota's is calling on all ICE operations to be halted until an uh investigation is done in that city as well. And unbelievably the situation over there is to do with an ICE agent ping that he shot because someone tried to run him over as well. So, as I said yesterday, the next few days are going to be critical. And as of right now, it is only getting more heated. As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments. But for now, moving on. Okay. Also, this week, guys, what the hell is happening in Germany while the rest of us are dealing with regime changes, protests, and the threat of war? Germany um have different problems. Rampaging sheep. You heard that right. So, on Wednesday, a flock of around 50 sheep broke off from their larger herd and decided [laughter] I don't think I can get through this story. [laughter] They decided to enter a local supermarket and absolutely tear up. This reminds me there. I'm telling you, there's a trend and I don't know what it's called, but when a bunch of people just ransack like a jewelry store or a store, just take as much and because there's so many people, they just all make it out. There's a name for it. What is it, Alex? But anyway, in Germany, sheep are doing that. They went in there. They started knocking things over. They started on the floor. Apparently, climbing on the conveyor belts, which I don't think sheep can jump that. Maybe they can. I don't even know. German sheep are clearly built different. And in the end, as you can see from the footage, they left the place looking cooked. I never knew German sheep were just so disrespectful. And apparently, after they had all their fun, they returned to their flock again. And guess who is actually going to be fronting the bill for all of this damage? The shepherd. [laughter] You know what this should be? This should be like, you know, in insurance terms. And they just they say it's an act of God, so we're not paying. I feel like the shepherd should claim act of God. Like, how could I control the chaos in these sheep's minds? Yes, I said sheeps. But it really makes me think 2026, there's something in the air. Everyone is choosing violence. Look at the news I'm covering. I'm currently protesting Tik Tok. I haven't been there in days now. All I can say is that these sheepies are lucky that I wasn't there. Because a little thing that you guys didn't know about me, I am a former professional sheep wrestler. Before I was news daddy, I was sheep daddy. Look at what I'm showing you. Yeah, that is me. I spent months in the Australian outback. And if I was there in that supermarket, I would have been flipping those German sheep one by one, sorting them out. You're welcome. Maybe that's what we should do for our 1 million, Alex. flipping flipping sheep together. No sound appealing? Let me know. Moving on. Also this week, remember last week when we discussed the horrific, disturbing Grock bikini trend? Well, I'm not going to go over it again because that that got the video age restricted 18 plus. But since we first covered that, it's gone from haha, Elon posting pictures of the SpaceX rocket in a bikini, it's all fun and games to becoming an international issue and Elon having to shut down the AI's image editing generator for all non-paying users. Yeah, it got serious real quick. For those of you who don't know what the Grock bikini trend is, it's probably one of the worst case examples of how AI can be used for horrific things at such a large scale. In fact, it got so many officials attention that X are now saying that only paying and verified users can edit images using Grock AI, which it got a lot of people saying that's a weird thing to be able to do if you pay for it. But their defense to that is that anyone that's paying or verified uh the platform has their credit card information, they've got their government name. So if they do generate anything with Grock, that is against the law. They could be tracked down and held criminally responsible. Now the UK government seems to think that this wasn't enough and the Liberal Democrats are calling for access to X to be temporarily restricted in the UK while the social media site is being investigated. In fact, the prime minister Kia Starmer, he even hinted at X being banned as a viable option. He said that Ofcom, which is one of the regulators here, had the government's full support to act against the content and that he asked for all options to be on the table, which includes banning it. So, the question is, what do you think? Should X be temporarily banned in the UK till they can sort out their AI, or is that going too far and the UK just wants to ban everything? Let me know your thoughts in the comments, but for now, moving on. Okay, but I think that is it for the news. Let us get to Alex's petition. Um, cuing that video in 3 2 1. >> Guys, look what we're having to deal with. >> No, I'm [gasps] not. This is ridiculous. I'm not doing it. >> Chop. Chop. Lose. Boy, >> I've worked so long on this hair. I've got it at the perfect state. You're I'm not doing it. I I just won't post the video. [laughter] >> They're going to shame you. >> They won't know. >> Mike, come on then. >> I'll drag you by your ear hole. >> I'm supposed to be celebrating. I've We've just hit 1 million and now I'm suffering. >> Well, guess what? Alex is going to be celebrating at home watching you suffer. >> You fired him on Christmas Day. Who does that? Put your [snorts] cone of shame on. Yeah, that's right. That's what it's called. Now, >> cone of shame. I think this length is acceptable to start off with. Okay. >> One thing of you. >> If we go too close to the skin, I will genuinely look balding. >> Is that the right length? >> Okay. Go. Just go. [ __ ] Are we really doing this, man? Oh god. How much stuff have you got in your hair? >> I have a good amount. >> Ah, that is so long still. >> I think it's a pretty good length. >> Sabotage. Hang on a minute, bud. [ __ ] >> Hello, darkness, [music] my friend. >> This is supposed to be a happy moment for me. [music] >> What? How the [ __ ] >> Delicious corn casserole. >> Did we get here, man? Alex really thought about this. So, I don't think he thought from Christmas Day all the way up until today. Couple of weeks, just thinking about ways he could ruin my life. Bleaching time. >> You really shaved your head just before we go to like minus 10. >> A I forgot Alex lives in freaking ice hell. Well, I'm not too sure I want to go see Alex anymore. A Does [music] it >> [music] >> to [singing] la. [music] [singing] [music] Once I reveal this hair, I want every single one of you to know your Supreme Leader answers petitions, even the most silly ones. Are we ready? Three, two, one. [music] >> I have a nut sack for a head. Jeez, man. My head is burning, by the way. All right. What are we saying, my boys? Alex, I hope you got your wish and I hope you're happy with it. But at the end of the day, we're here 1 million. Alex is back. The family is back together. So, love you all and I will see you on Monday. It's been [music] a long weekend, man. Woo! Woo!
Video Description
SINCE WE LAST SPOKE!!! 🍿🥤
WE HIT 1,000,000 SUBSCRIBERS (News Daddy Empire Update 🏛️)
Last night we officially hit 1 MILLION CITIZENS… which means two things: Alex is REHIRED back into the empire (Sean Holmbs… thank you for your service, but your name is playing with fire 😭) — and I’m flying out to meet Alex for the first time ever.
Now the real question: do we do a wholesome “day in the life of Alex”… or do we rent flamethrowers and fireworks like absolute idiots? Drop your petitions in the comments.
UK Pink Sky in Birmingham (Stranger Things vibes + “worst snow storm of the decade”)
Parts of the UK are getting smashed by a brutal snow storm + a red “danger to life” wind warning, power outages, school closures, travel chaos… and then Birmingham casually turns into the Upside Down.
Skies were glowing PINK while snow was falling — and it turns out it wasn’t aliens… it was a local football stadium’s pink LED pitch lights reflecting off the snow like mad. Honestly? Clubs should do this on purpose during snowstorms because it looked insane.
Iran Internet Blackout as Protests Escalate (Regime change questions getting louder)
Iran’s protests are spreading fast — major crowds, buildings set on fire, flags torn down, statues toppled, and reports of unrest across 100+ cities. Then suddenly… a nationwide internet blackout and international calls getting blocked.
This is the part where everyone starts asking the scary question: could Iran’s government actually fall? And if it did, the entire Middle East changes overnight. We also talk about comparisons to past protests (like 2022), outside pressure, and why 2026 is already giving “tipping point” energy.
ICE Shooting Update: Minnesota Officials Say FBI Blocked Their Access
Quick update on the Minneapolis ICE shooting: Minnesota officials say the FBI initially agreed to a joint investigation… then reportedly reversed course and blocked state access to evidence/materials.
That matters because the state vs federal narratives are already completely different — and now people are questioning whether the investigation can be unbiased. And to make it worse: reports say two more people were shot by a federal agent in Portland, with the mayor calling for ICE to halt operations there too.
Germany’s Supermarket Gets Raided by Rampaging Sheep 🐑
While the rest of the world is doing protests and geopolitical brinkmanship… Germany is dealing with a flock of ~50 sheep storming a supermarket.
They knocked stuff over, climbed conveyor belts (HOW?), left “presents” on the floor, then just dipped like nothing happened. 2026 has everyone choosing violence… even livestock. Also yes, apparently I’m a professional sheep wrestler now. Don’t ask.
Grok AI Drama: X Restricts Image Editing After Deepfake Concerns
Remember the Grok bikini trend? Yeah… it didn’t stay “haha funny.” It turned into a full-blown international issue and now X has limited Grok image-editing so only paid + verified users can use it (because identity/payment = accountability).
The UK reaction is getting intense too — Liberal Democrats called for temporary restrictions while X is investigated, and Keir Starmer hinted that all options are on the table as Ofcom looks into it.
So the question: should X be restricted/banned over what its AI can generate… or is that the UK trying to ban everything again?
