around the house and he would even brushed his teeth he built an entire fair with rides and performers he had robot wars and I mean just look at the behind the scenes of this this is a full ass production and I mean every single part of this house had cameras that were non-stop streaming and like he was even showering on stream with but he had shorts on obviously I would get tired of doing that and that's without even mentioning the countless guests that he had on he had Kevin Hart the entire cost of Good Luck Charlie John Cena Bill nether Science Guy Drew ski Snoop Dog Miles Morales when you know kaat was chilling trying to go to sleep he would interact Miles Morales MPC with the chat and countless more like there was dozens and The Madness of all of this just keeps on going because he broke numerous records doing this uh with a staggering 250 million hours watched and he finished this whole thing with 728 th000 Subs that's double the previous record that was available and that equates to around three million doar just in Subs oh and if you add in sponsorships and ads on top of the money's making from Subs in just 30 days it likely brings the revenue up to tens of a national hero for doing it now if you don't know who Johnny sumali is by now count yourself lucky but he's essentially a streamer from America and he goes to different countries essentially harassing the public disrespecting the people people and their culture and that's like really trying to keep it short and putting it lightly I mean he is facing multiple years in prison in Korea for what he did there the best way to put is that he literally embodies what you would imagine rage bait content is and so when locals online we get angry at him he would say come at me and he would challenge people to confront him in real life and so last month a guy called U dalun who's former Korean Special Forces well he did exactly that now I'm not sure how much of this I can play Alex really make sure that we don't get taken down for this one don't show any contact but Mr U dalun said that he felt a sense of Duty to confront Johnny and hold him accountable for all of his behavior online and this may not seem like oh my God that's crazy but if you actually knew the stuff that he did you'd be like Fair now since then you has faced both criticism and praise obviously cuz he did this right in front of police he started getting called the sumali Hunter and also a hero by people around the world but now as used legal cases are moving forward many Koreans are actually rallying behind him supporting him through crowdfunding to cover his legal fees oh I just had a thought imagine because obviously you know that uh Johnny sumali he's he's facing potentially 5 10 years behind bars in Korea but imagine if uh Delon also goes to prison for this and they end up getting put in the same one I think bro will be rethinking every decision he ever made on stream anyway moving away from that because we need to talk about something wild that happened in Australia this week the country Senate has just passed a bill banning all kids under 16 from using social media that is pretty freaking huge in fact not only is that now the world's strictest social media law but is also the highest age limit set by any country and it also does not include any exemptions for existing users so if you are 15 watching this and currently Doom scrolling on Tik Tok yeah good luck and it also doesn't exclude anyone that has parental consent to use social media so it's pretty fullon and I mean 16 I I I understand like we all I think we all acknowledge kids using social media maybe there should be some protection around that but 16 feels pretty damn old anyway this ban will not take effect for at least 12 months so get your doom Scrolls in now guys in Australia but also they're putting the responsibility on the actual social media companies because they say that any of them that don't comply they'll be find up to 50 million Australian dollars which is like 30 something million USD that's quite a lot now as for which platforms are going to be banned for under 16s in Australia that leg just it doesn't really say right now but all of them Tik Tok Instagram X they've all come out since this has been put into the news and they've said they've criticized it I mean is that a shock and also as for how they're going to enforce this well apparently the government say they they're going to rely on some sort of age verification technology they don't exactly specify that though which also leads us to one of the biggest concerns is for everyone that's over 16 because technically if they require verification for under 16s everyone is going to have to verify I mean hypothetically you're a 45-year-old man and you download Tik Tok for the first time and it's saying verify your age so to now access the app you're going to have to upload your passport or your ID or somehow verify your age and give this information over to the likes of meta bite dance which I don't think anyone wants to do so that's kind of a concern but then there's also using a VPN seems like uh you know obviously it's going to make it a little bit more complicated but seems like a pretty simple hack around it you didn't hear that from me though anyway what do you guys think do you think that this is picture of your C fluffy stop calling me dear you stupid got it dear the company said that Daisy has had numerous 40 minute long calls telling Meandering stories of our family talked at length about our passion for knitting uh and even provided false personal information and made up Bank details oh and this is freaking needed because just hypothetically throw a number out there to think how much money do people lose over our online scams 100 million 200 million no last year alone the FBI said that it was a staggering 12.5 billion from these scammers like that is unbelievable my mind was blown happening this week the man who was responsible for all of those viral Manchester nightlife videos on Tik Tok of women well he's now been arrested and it's actually believed to be the first arrest of its kind in the country and this one's kind of interesting because when I spoke about it on Tik Tok it really divided people now if you haven't seen the videos really all they are is just of girls walking from Club to club and like is it and they were posted from this Tik Tok account and they went viral across multiple platforms because I guess of what the girls were wearing and stuff like that uh and they got millions and millions of views and so the police said that yeah yes while filming in public is legal it crosses the line into an offense when it leads to distress or harassment and they said that not only did these women receive a huge amount of hate and abuse online but they also found that this guy had other content which was locked behind a pay wall and that included footage of suspected non-consensual nudity and upskirting now I'm assuming that you've heard of this but the UK recently has faced a lot of criticism for arresting people based on online behavior and just tweets and stuff like that several thousand people have been have been given prison sentences sentences in the UK for social media posts that where there was no explicit link to actual violence but they just said it encouraged violence like well did anyone actually do anything as a result of that media post will know but they they just and and then they have a prison overcrowding situation in the UK so that quite literally releasing convicted pedophiles and putting people in jail for Facebook posts that's an actual thing happening in Britain that is so wild but here's why you see the Divide because there's a lot of other people that argue that this is Justified saying that online actions are increasingly leading to real world consequences so fair enough so the question is what do honestly despite owning the these are from reports multiple luxury cars and multiple houses around the world there is little to no information about who he is and what he did online obviously he's from one of the most famous banking families in the world but like even a formal identification from officials that it was him that died that's yet to come out despite it happening days ago I mean the contacted by the Met police here in the UK first time and before you say anything okay I'm not out here getting in trouble that ain't like me it's actually for a good thing they emailed recently to share an embargoed story with me which I'm allowed to now share with you and it was essentially talking about how these two guys who carried out series of brutal arm robberies around the UK no I was about around London well they have now been arrested convicted and will spend time Behind Bars and it was basically to demonstrate you know what the Met police were doing to clean up the streets and while that story is significant I wanted to put some attention on that I mainly wanted to talk about how cool it is that the Met police is actually reaching out to content creators because you know how old and traditional the Met police is one of the oldest in the entire world so for them to tell me and I quote we're trying different methods of reaching people Beyond traditional media and I mean this is really cool right uh cue the emotional music Alex since that we've started this together right first there was the NATO thing and that was the first time they invited content creators to that event then there was the United Nations who invited content creators as journalists to have that whole Roundtable thing then there was the European Space Agency who invited me and it was the one of the only in fact there was the first time ever they invited more content creators than traditional journalists from Publications now it's the Met police and like these are just some of the examples of some of the oldest and most traditional organizations and parts of the industry that are now opening up to collaboration with New Media and they're slowly step by step moving away from what I guess a
